Lisa Sibley is a Fine Art Photographer, Designer, Educator, Art Juror, Mom, and Yia Yia who grew up in Pinellas County.
Informed by the works of Gerhard Richter, Shimon Attie, Duane Michaels, and Christian Boltanski, her art explores the relationship of photography to memory and nostalgia, considering place, time, and exploration of the Other-self within. She may use techniques such as double exposure, photomontage, or projection in order to reveal aspects of identity that otherwise go unseen.
Her fine art photography work has been recognized locally and internationally.
Lisa employs the same exploration of identity while designing spaces.
She is a MFA graduate from Lesley University College of Art and Design, Cambridge, MA and an Eckerd College PEL Alum.
For fun you will find her serendipitously traipsing through landscapes, kayaking in search of abstract imagery or being Yia Yia.
Lisa lives and works on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
